I had the Sirius XM module installed when I bought my bike. I went to move my subscription to the new bike from my old Garmin Zumo over the weekend. I turned on the radio and could here the channel 0 information, but the screen displayed only "Receiving Data" In the set up menu it said that the ESN number was undefined. The bike is going back to the dealer, but I wondered if any of you have had similar issues, and how they were fixed.
Did not have any of those problems. When I picked it up the Sirius XM worked they said it was 30 days for free (it really was 7 days). Called Sirius and had my subscription from my old radio (Roady) changed over to the new one. Have not had a problem with it. Receiving Data some times takes a while. The new update shortens that time. If the radio is playing then the problem is with the subscription status. Call Sirius give them the radio # and tell them what is happening they may need to re-send the signal to the radio.
i was told my un special SG cannot get XM radio...is this true?
You could install sirius or XM radio and stream it to your radio probably. FM Modulator comes to mind where you listen to Sirius by tuning to a predetermined FM frequency.
I checked my Boombox Operators Manual and it indicates that the Boombox 4.3 is upgradable for the Serius/XM module. I have the 6.5GT on my Limited and I have the module installed on it so I can not guaranty that it will work on the 4.3's but the manual does say it is an P&A upgrade. --- Hope this helps out.
It is normal, mine took 2 days before it unlocked when it got the signal from the satellite. There is another thread about this, don't sweat it, it will work. have you upgraded the infotainment software to the latest? there is a fix listed for the sat system too. s/w 1.17.4
