After 4 years of not having a bike, I'm back & back in style! I just took delivery of my ultra limited in amber/whiskey & vivid black. This bike is gorgeous & now of coarse the weather gods are p.....g on my parade . I can't wait to take this for a ride -it's probably a good thing I can't right away, give me some time to read up on all this has . I do want to just replace mufflers for now to get a bit more rumble out of it-what is everyone else running? I don't want too loud, just a little more rumble, thanks, Scott

Welcome back, great way to come back in style with the Limited. I learned a lot on this forum with my Limited. I too can't wait for the weather to break, we need rain to wash salt off the roads. I installed the Rineharts 4" slip ons that now has a deeper sound and the look I wanted. Gook luck with your Limited but as this forum goes, we need pics or it never happened!
Welcome to the forum Scarey. Look to getting a de catted head pipe, that will make the
stock mufflers some what louder while running cooler to start with. If that is not the
sound
you are looking for, adding slip on mufflers will work, and no tuner is needed with just mufflers.
Thanks for the replies & advice, this sure is a huge step up from my 883-22yrs ago , then my soft tail 14 yrs ago. I feel like I went from a basic cavalier to a sedan deville!

My bike came with dealer installed RC Components slip ons. They have a nice, deep rumble (had them on my first two Harleys also). You might want to try to listen to a set. I just replaced them with V&H Monster Squared when I had my Stage IV done. They are not as deep sounding as the RCs. They were, however, a good match for my build. Good luck!

Welcome back to the good life! The head service tech really pushed for upgrades when I bought my bike "You know for every $1000 you put on the loan, it's only $20 extra on the monthly payment..." ;-) I told him it would be at least on year before I do anything performance enhancing to the bike. The first and main reason was I wanted see just what I spent 23k on and what it's got to offer stock. Secondly, I wanted to see, look and listen to as many setup's as I could and then base my decision on what "I" wanted not what "they" recommended. It didn't matter how many times I listened to sound bytes or video clips on the internet, it just wasn't the same as standing next to a bike. If I heard a bike that I liked I would introduce myself to the owner and ask what he or she has for a setup and started taking notes. (i actually got a compliment from a guy for doing it this way. He said he wished he would have done that and got something he REALLY liked, rather than "something other than stock")
So actually two years later... I upgraded and you know the saying... Go big or go home. Not for everyone but hey... it's just $$$. Right?!?! (in all honesty I couldn't stand the fact that when my neighbor's Kawasaki was idling, I couldn't tell if it was his or mine.
