here are my upgrade plans...
I'm not sure on vied or Fuel Moto Micro EFI .... The EFI is probably better but I like plug and play and the vied is less money.
suggestions welcome but I am totally broke after buying the bike so I have to keep it cheap.
1. FL-VIED-10
2. V&H V02 air intake (which I already have)
3. decat the stock header pipe .. ( I can do myself)
4. new slip on mufflers
For that kind of money, you can find used name brand slip ons in the classifieds here...
I bought a set of Big Louie's off eBay for $210 shipped. Pipes didn't have a scratch on them and were only used for 10 minutes. Mufflers and baffles looked brand new. Deals are out there just gotta do some diggin.
I bought CFR knockoffs for $159 shipped and I am very happy with the sound. Plus I got the ones with removable tips so I can always change the fiberglass inside as they wear out.
I had a set of similar mufflers (no brand name) to what you are looking to get. The chrome was not top notch and they ended up discoloring. I ended up decatting the head pipes, getting Klock Werks mufflers ($281 on amazon) and getting the micro tuner from Fuel Moto, which they dialed in for my set up. My '12 EGC runs and sounds great. I would also recommend Wild Pig mufflers if you are looking for an economical set. Had them on an older EGC, sound and finish were very good.
