God damn I can't wait for my 12" Vindikta's to get here next week! Hey jp, how did you extend your control wiring? I'm getting mixed info on how cutting and splicing with butt connectors or soldering vs the namz extensions effect the can/bus system. One guy says not using a pinned extension may throw the signal off from the controls to the ECM, others say it'll be fine if you cut/splice inside the bars with barrel connectors and a crimp tool. What route did you go?

I got Namz 12" extensions and cut off the ends on one side and cut the stock wiring ends and solder and shrink wrapped them. No problems here.

Same with me. I cut all of them ends off, spiral pairs blah blah blah and everything. Simple solder job, heat shrink and I was good to go!

What gauge wire is the factory stuff? I can get all I want at work, probably just do my own cut and splice job like on my previous bikes. I'll want to stick with the same gauge wire just to be sure no issues.

Everyone I've seen get away with not changing clutch and brake lines is running 12.5" and down. i think u could do 14" and use the stock TBW but you will need long lines.

I've heard 14's can and can't be done depending on manufacturer and how high they actually measure to as to weather or not you can get away with just wiring extensions or having to do clutch and brake line. When my Vindikta 12's get here, I may actually fit them and if it looks like I can make 14's without having to go with different lines, I may order a set of 14's and sell the 12's.

Default Install question

I just got my 12" vindiktas ...question for you that installed them...What did you use to cut/shave down the 1/16 piece of the fairing that's required to fit the 1.5 inch tubes?
