Understatement of the year ........ It's mainly for those that like touring various MoCo dealerships by interstate or four lane divided U S highways. I use google maps on my cell phone when need be. Otherwise I rely on a printed map
yeah, that......
the GPS uses an almost 3 year old database. I'm no rocket surgeon but I'm guessing a few roads have either been built or wiped off the map in three years......
Bingo...as I forgot to do this very thing some time ago....
FWI, according to a very reliable source, the 9 waypoint limit and a few other things (don't want to spoil the suprise) will be updated in the near future. As with just about any software/firmware on the planet Earth, never fully functional out of the gate....takes revisions to get it to mature. Show m3 any software that stay at version 1.0/build 1
First off, the acceptance by people that software is not fully functional on first release is why it has been happening more and more often. It's a sad state we live in when we accept such crap and even pay for it!
As for software that does not get updated? There are plenty of embedded systems out there that were released and never updated. Many years ago, that was OK because they were well tested before going to production.
In this case, we are talking about Harley Davidson here. Unless they are forced to, I do not expect any updates worthwhile to happen. Maybe fixes for things that are broken, but not for feature enhancements.
Very reliable source or not, I for one am not holding my breath.
If you are accustomed to using a garmin, this gps HD has sold us is very inferior.
The gps on the bike is my first experience with any one and even I understand the inferior functions on this system as compared to aftermarket versions.

Any news on a useful update from your source Wild Thang??
I'm desperate for them to iron out the problems, that much so I've put on my Zumo 660 (MoCo, it does'nt look good does it, a ZUMO on the bars of my 14 Limited)!!!!!
