I don't notice where the vent does anything either way. Open and closed is the same. I never had a buffetting problem that I noticed anyhow. I have the HD windshield bag now. Still feel no difference.

The vent reduces the pocket of air the causes the buffeting, when my bike was new I
road the bike all day and I told my son that there was still some buffeting then he told me my vent was closed. Opening the vent reduces the buffeting for sure.

What? Either you're 4' small or 7' tall if the vent does nothing for you.

5' 9"

Although ... I do wear horns on my helmet. They may be effecting my opinion of wind conditions since they always grab some wind. I like it that way! Makes my neck muscles stronger. Means I can hold my head up longer when in that position my wife likes.

I have the Harley 3 pocket windshield bag. It has not IMI not caused any turbulence problems. I can still open or close the vent (closed for rain - open otherwise). The center pocket is big enough for my sunglasses. The side pockets are for a small flashlight and ink pen - things I don't want rattling around in the tour pack or saddle bags. If the center pocket was gone, I don't think the sunglasses would fit in a side pocket as they are now.

As for the height of the bag, I don't have a problem with it. Since I went to a taller windshield, it keeps appearances similar to stock.

Just my $.02

The two HD side bags are not big enough.

From my understanding, the aftermarket pouch Harley makes doesn't work with the aftermarket windsplitter. It would be great to have a 2 pouch system that was also compatible with the aftermarket windsplitter.

The vent seems to help, not getting any buffeting really, glasses dance a little, but hey, we're supposed to have some wind on a bike right?

Vent does help with buffeting. I am 5'10"

So far not going to get fairing pouches.

On the Ultra's the lower faring pouches are more user friendly. Just have to be selective for storage as they are not 100 percent waterproof.

I was wondering if instead of covering up that beautiful dash you could design a tank bag over the center council of an flhx.. Looked like all tank bags are for a road king tank... One big pocket will do... If I missed it on your website, point m in the right direction.
