Default Adjustable Back Rest - Worth it?

I currently have a backrest where it's two bars with a spring at the bottom that goes into a bracket. It doesn't have a lot of adjustment and it's not working for me on my new Limited. I'm thinking of trying the adjustable mount and back rest. For those that have them, are they worth the extra money. At close to $300 for the adjustable mount and back rest it's a lot without knowing how well it works.

What do you think of it?

I love mine also..................however, I adjusted it and never installed the cable and the release. Did not want to see that cheap lever.
Really helps

Yes, absolutely, I adjust mine all the time depending on my riding posture.

As I've mentioned in several other threads regarding this same backrest , the adjustable backrest is entirely worth the price for me. As with all things, everyone has their own satisfaction levels. Some prefer the set backrest and leave it alone and others prefer the adjustability, especially on the fly. The mid frame deflector comes on the new Ultra Limited so you do not see any lever, mount or cable as it's hidden underneath the deflector and is easily gotten to with your left hand as you're riding. Mine can go far enough back where it's not touching my back at all and forward all the way where it's pushing me into the seat and forward controls. I find I adjust it a few small amounts when taking longer trips and as I've stated in the other discussions, it makes all the difference in the world to how long I can ride and how I feel afterward.

I'll Also add, that wearing different gear affects my position relative to the backrest & bars, and this makes it easy to config by adjustment so I keep comfy.

I have one too and often change positions on trips longer than 1/2 hour. Like above, the mid frame air deflectors hide the lever. Install is easy, takes about 20 minutes.

I love mine and change positions alot. I move it up for aggressive road carving or lay back for mile after mile laid back comfort.

Once you have it, you'll wonder why you didn't get it sooner.
