2014 ulra limited. I am trying to remove the top cap on the lowers as the left side lower is installed too far out and I don't have room to install highway pegs. I need to remove the top piece on the lower to get at the adjustment clamps. I don't have shop manual and there is nothing in the manual telling me how to do it. Can I get some help from the group?
There is a bolt inside the lower, should be above and left of the radiator when looking through the "door"
....and do yourself a favor, get a service manual.
Thanks safetyman. I had it released but the cover still would not come off. It just required a little force on my part as a curved piece was jammed into the crash bar. There is a little tongue piece that slides into a hole on the lower requiring be to pull in a little different position than I had been pulling. You are right on the manual part, I have been procrastinating spending the 100 bucks in Canada. Who would have thought I would need a service manual to to install highway pegs. Thanks for not going into the rant a lot of folks do on this forum re the service manual
