I used the storage in my windshield bags and glove boxes on my previous Ultras. I tried the windshield bags for the 2014. They stink. I am wondering if anyone has found a small pouch that mounts to the doors on the lowers. I have seen mounts for drinks/bottles, but nothing else. Have any of you?
They have pouches for the 13-down, smallish, had them, sold them...
Not sure if there will be anything "substantial" for the Rushmores, as I'm not sure how stout the plastic push clips are. I would like to see hard doors with a stronger latch that we could mount something to.
Maybe the aftermarket will come out with something....
Interested too, got the new windshield angled bags, but seem to change the function of the fairing vent to blow air more toward my face , not over my head. Thought about getting the bags re-done with center bag brought back toward me somehow ? so the air still flows up the back of windshield, think it's possible?

Sounds like a great idea. Or a set up without the center pouch.
A few weeks ago before I bought my Ultra I test drove a 14 SG that a dealer employee owned. He had the 3 pouch thing mounted to the windshield. It totally defeated the purpose of having the air slot.

I was among the first here to buy a '14, and I think I was the first to get the 3 pouch bag for it when they finally came out. My review was that they sucked... and blew wind in my face.
Of course, there were 15 guys behind me that said I was wrong, and love theirs.
I never thought to take the saw to it and remove the center pouch, but I think the outsides are really too small to be much use.

My 2 cents.
Your review of the 3 window pouch echo's mine. The only thing I would say is it is too tall. Cuts down too much on vision. I may cut mine up and use the pouches on the glove box doors. Just hoping that there was a better option.

I just sent a message to Captain Itch to see if they had though about maybe making something for this issue.

I would not even think about covering that slot with anything, It works great. But i guess it depends on how tall guys are whether it works or not. I just ordered an LRS shield.
