Anybody installed cooling fans on the 14 Ultra yet ?

If so, what brand, why you did it and any positive or negative results.

Gets hot here in Fla and I ride 2 up and pull a Bushtec trlr often and make numerous trips to the Smoky Mtns.

Just wondering as I am considering a set of Love Jugs.

Thanks

Put Wards fans on my 14 Ultra. Look good and move a large amount of air. The fans are small and blend in nicely with the motor. They are noisey, but only audible at idle with stock exhaust. I've used the LaNale fan but wasn't too impressed with the amount of air it moved and it only blew between the jugs pushing the hot air right into the intake system. I've seen the love jugs and they look like they will work same as the Wards fans. Didn't care for the looks of the love jugs as they are large and detract from the motor IMO.

Damnit, I literally just told my wife about 5 minutes ago I have just purchased the last piece of the puzzle to get the bike the way I want and now anything beyond this is not "needed" but a want.

Of course I then see this, I need those fans.

Hi Dawg 689,

In your quest to cool your Harley engine, you will find several Harley cooling fans. Each system offered, have their pros and cons. Some prefer to install a smaller unit, and some folks are looking for the maximum cooling ability provided by high CFM fans. All the systems will do some good in cooling your engine. It is probably one of the most important aftermarket products you can add to your bike, both for rider comfort and also for the many benefits of running a cooler engine.

The fact is that... More air flow = more cooling ability. Some people have argued that it is not important how much forced air you direct at the engine, nothing could be further from the truth. The following statement is from the Buell engineers in their patent documents. It reads as follows.....

"The higher the volume of air flowing over an air cooled motorcycle engine, the more effective the cooling fins are at transferring heat from the engine to the air." So in your selection process, you can base your decision on many facts including size/looks/performance, highest CFM's and effectiveness.

Love jugs are designed to provide the maximum cooling ability, surpassing the cooling ability of any other competing system. Our fans are about twice as powerful as any of the competing products. Remember this in your selection process. The higher the fan's CFM's the better the cooling ability.
