Default Looking for a power source under the fairing

I know there is power sources under the fairing. I'm not familiar with whats's under the fairing of the 14 models, plugins etc. I would like to hardwire a gps. I don't want to splice or cut any wiring, would rather just plug into something. On previous models it was easy to just use the connectors from the cigarette lighter. Does the 14 models have the same connectors on the power outlet or is it a plug in connector?

The 2014 models have a two prong female plug. My old 08 had two separate spade connectors. When I hardwired my GPS I made a pigtail so I didn't have to splice anything. I don't think you can do that on the 2014's. I would use one of the automotive "Piggyback" clamp on terminals.

The bottom wire is the one going into the back of the auxillary fairing socket. The wire goes into a two pin plug which fits onto the two spade connectors on the back of the socket. You can see where I used two connectors to splice my sat nav into the wire just as it went into a sleeve.

Hi Pewter,
Nice to see a fellow Countryman on here. I was born and bred in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Moved to the Good Ol US of A about 35 years ago.
