Picking up a 2014 SE Limited this week and want to get to work on some work on it. Need to open up the fairing to hard wire in the GPS and phone charging. I was wondering if there was any type of 12 volt plug under there that I can use to pick up some switched power.
On my 2010 I just spliced into the wires going to the lighter. I like to not do that this time as the wires going to the lighter are pretty small gauge. Anyone know if there is a good power source there? Thanks
Yes it is an unused plug.. Used for Hidden antenna and such.. there a few switched power ports/plugs under the fairing put that is right from the P&A fuse..
I have a 14 Tri Glide with the info center. On the right side of radio screens a flip up cover that has a USB port for charging and connecting any phone or mp 3 player, shouldn't you have the same? Haven't been inside fairing yet but I always used the two wires in the headlight loom near the headlight plug, red and black wires capped off with a red plastic cover.

Casper, I like to hard wire in both the phone and gps. Guess there is a couple options in there better than what I've used before. Tks Guys
