Well a longshot here but it seems most of the front spark plug wires are wearing on the tanks. I checked mine after reading about it in the forum and sure enough there was already a worn spot on the wire. I checked at 1200 miles.

What a jackwagon......
Lol. If you did anything more then change the oil, you have already done more then the dealer does.

My old 883 hard-mount was much smoother than my 05 1200XL. Forget the dealers....all you get is "Normal". No it's NOT normal. I have an 011 1200 and an 09 FatBob and they're both smooooooth. Change your motor mounts.

Since the thread is almost 2 yrs. old,I don't think Streetglide Clyde has the vibration problem anymore. It would of been good of him to let us know what was found to be the problem.

Not that this has anything to do with his issues, but I had a 12 street glide, while working on the bike ( putting on stuff) I dropped a small bolt, I'm thinking like a 10mm nut, I looked everywhere for it and figured the garage grimlins got it. I developed a horrible vibration at idle, felt like the motor was coming apart. Took it to the dealer and tech road it a short distance in the parking lot and thought the bottom end was coming apart, it was that bad...
Long story short, that damn nut had fallen and wedged itself between the motor and the trans, it was causing all the vibration. I would have never believed it. One of the other techs told them to check for it and he was right on. Crazy.....

On my 12 the vibration came from a improperly adjusted muffler clamp. Would hit the frame under torque. Mechanic found it quickly and adjusted.

Only reason I mentioned it is that sudden onset vibration can have several, seemingly innocuous causes. Sometimes just gotta be lucky and find someone that has seen, and solved the problem before.
