I purchased the second Harley headset for my 14 Limited since Harley is too cheap to provide two headsets and I cannot get the communication on intercom to work between rider and passenger. I have adjusted the VOX from minimum to max and passenger cannot hear me. Passenger can hear radio only. I have not tried the CB to see if PTT will work but is there a download/fix to this or am I missing something?
Hate to half to take it to the dealer for something this minor but if need be then I will.
Has the passenger turned there intercom volume up? Intercom, CB, radio, and Nav all have separate volume adjustments. The passenger sets there own volume for each off these when using the headsets.
While your talking on the intercom have the passenger use the volume control on the right speaker pod to try turning the volume up. You will see both volume levels displayed on the infotainment system while you adjust them.

Any suggestions?
By default, all of the communications are set to use the speakers instead of the headset. Have you switched the intercom to headset?

On my limited I have turned the rear controls OFF, so that my passenger can't get the wrong ones. I normally run the radio on speakers, and the intercom on headsets, and notifications on the headset, also have you turned the intercom on? do you have the intercom icon showing on the bottom of the screen? Good luck, I guite often have to tweak the VOX depending on the wind noise I'm getting.
CB On/Intercom Off Rider and passenger can transmit over CB Rider and passenger can hear each other.
CB Off/Intercom On Rider and passenger can hear each other. Functions the same as VOX active.
CB On/Intercom On Functions the same as CB On/Intercom Off.
USING INTERCOM/HEADSETS (IF EQUIPPED) Refer to Table 26 and Table 27. The Intercom is voice activated (VOX) when the headsets/microphones are plugged into the rider and/or passenger intercom sockets.
ON the BOOM BOX Intercom screen
Pressing the upper-left corner button (ON/OFF) toggles the Intercom between the ON and OFF states. Adjusting VOX Sensitivity See Figure 55. VOX sensitivity should be adjusted so that the microphones break VOX at a normal voice volume. The Intercom icon in the status bar may be helpful for performing the adjustment. In the Intercom screen, press on the - or + buttons to adjust the VOX sensitivity level. VOX sensitivity settings are retained between regular vehicle ignition cycles. VOX sensitivity may need adjusting if either microphone is unintentionally activated because the microphone misinterprets radio, road or background sound as conversation.
Adjusting Rider Headset Volume 1. Access the Intercom screen and speak into the passenger microphone. 2. See Figure 56. Adjust the Intercom volume with the Volume Up/Volume Down buttons in the left hand controls. The bar graph labeled F (Front) will increase or decrease. The Rider Intercom volume is adjustable from the Intercom Screen, or when Intercom audio is being received. Adjusting Passenger Headset Volume 1. Access the Intercom screen and speak into the rider microphone. 2. See Figure 56. Adjust the Intercom volume with the Volume Up/Volume Down buttons in the left hand controls. The bar graph labeled R (Rear) will increase or decrease accordingly. The Passenger Intercom volume is adjustable from the Intercom Screen, or when Intercom audio is being received.
I havnt seen it specified in the manual but when I am using the Intercom to speak to the passanger I can definitely hear it In my headset as a feedback sound.
The volume only seems to adjust properly while you are talking And the system is active.
