I hope you have many safe miles on your bike. I just bought a FLHTK (my first touring bike) about a month ago.
I've been riding dynas for many years, and the limited is quite a different animal. Take your time and think ahead. I had my wife on and laid it down once just starting from a start. My ultra riding friends told me it would happen, and it did. No damage or scratches...the guards did their job well.
Glad you took the msf course. You should consider the advanced. Y'all enjoy!
