Pushing/Maneuvering the bike around can be very hazardous. I do this everyday i ride to get it out of the chock stand and the garage.

I use my electric blower to clean/sweep the cement each time before taking the bike out or putting it in, if my foot slips when moving it back an forth to cut the angle to get it out of the garage i am F*******ked.

So i am careful as hell and totally concentrating, but stuff can happy, especially with all that wt.

I do this pretty quickly, but very, very deliberately, takes total concentration, because when/if/hopefully never, she stats to go it will be too late.

Got mine out of the way yesterday. Stop sign from a side street inclined up to major roadway. Slope was up and heavy pitch to the right (crown of road) and I was making a right. I hugged further towards the curb on the right then I normally do because a sinkhole is starting to develop on that main roadway. Well, right turned bars plus up and to the left incline caused bike to lean way right when I stopped. Nice slow let down onto the highway bar and highway pegs. Small scuff to bottom of bar and bottom of old highway peg.

Not making that right again, lol. I'll go another way. I've made this right turn on the way home for 5 years, this is the first time it got me. I was distracted by the damn sinkhole. Meh, it happens.

I haven't put my King down yet (hope I haven't jinxed it) but I did drop my Victory Cross Roads on the very first day I had it!!

I trailered my trade in from Palm Desert to Escondido and spent a long day haggling with the dealer and doing the paperwork. Late in the afternoon I put the Victory on the trailer (zero miles on it as I had test ridden the demo) and drove in the dark down Highway 74 which is very mountainous and stressful with a new bike on trailer. I finally got home about 7.30 and unloaded the bike off the trailer on my own which in the dark was nerve wracking enough…..

Mission accomplished - I breathed a sigh of relief and started the bike and rode it the 30 feet in to the garage turned it off, kicked out the kickstand and starting to get off. There was a clunking sound and to my dismay the kickstand came up and the bike went slowly and agonizingly over. I guess I hadn't got the kickstand all the way out. I fought the beast but lost the battle (tearing a gouge in my shin on the cylinder fins in the process) slowly but surely HRH Queen Victoria the Victory went over on her side resting on the engine and saddlebag guards.

My brand new bike with zero miles on it lying on its side in the garage. Fortunately no damage except to my pride and shin and the neigbour helped me get her up again.

It happens so easily…..
The Victory Board has a "tip over club" that you can only join by laying your bike down - a dubious achievement

My previous two bikes were a couple of hundred pounds heavier than my SGS and very top heavy. Dropped both of those a couple of times. It's tough being a short guy that likes big bikes, we just don't have the leverage with our legs. LOL

My SGS is much easier to handle and isn't top heavy at all, but I've often wondered what would happen if it went down. The crash bars look like they'd catch the front with no problem, but the saddlebags really concern me. Did you guys get any damage to the bags when your bike dropped?

Dropped or at least gently eased it down twice on the way to Sturgis. Once after riding for several hours and hit the front brake trying to turn around in a parking space. And then once in downtown Wall parking as well. Both times if I had the leg strength I could have saved it but it gets to a certain point where I can't pull it back up so the only option is to gently lay it down. At least with the RK with bag guards, there were no noticeable scratches at all.

Was going for a ride one Saturday morning last year and meeting up with a friend at a convenience store. I got there first having a cup of coffee and in comes my friend on his Street Glide backing into a spot next to me and down he goes without putting down the kickstand with it running full throttle, going off on the rev limiter, because his left leg is sraight out, right arm staight out bars cut full left, holding on. Ran over, cut it off and lifted the bike back up on the stand. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry? We find out after WTH happened and looked down on the ground and he slipped on a BANNANA PEEL! Embarrassing We laugh about to this day...

I dropped mine in the pkg lot at the liquor store last week. I went to turn in slowly into a pkg spot and down she went. It went down slowly, I caught it but it still went down slow enough and laid on the footboard. No damage. Two dudes helped me get her up.

Ouch. That's not embarrassing at all ;-). I did that in the privacy of my own garage with my FatBoy once. Sucks.

On my SG it rested on the engine gaurd and the pipe on the left side. So no saddle bag damage but a very small nick on the engine gaurd and very small nick on the bottom of the Rinehart tip. I just used a sharpie to cover the nick on the tip and the engine guard is on the bottom and you can't see it without getting on the ground.

Had my turn with my old bike, 07 Softail Standard. Luckily it happened on grass when my foot slipped as I was backing it up. I keep off the grass now.
