I have 2014 eletra glide limited, as I ride the rear cylinder kick to air pump mode that is supposed to keep motor cool while in long idle or slow traffic. But mine comes on at every stop weather 5minutes down the road or coming off the highway. Harley mechanic has test drove the bike and had it happen to him they dropped the program and reprogrammed the CPU. Test drove it again still did it!! Any thoughts!!!
I just deactivated the damn thing. Problem solved. It's not to keep the motor cool as it is to keep the rear cylinder heat low so heat doesn't radiate onto your leg when stopped. WAIT A MINUTE! You say it's a twin cooled limited? Well, if it's activated the same as the others (at 80 degrees ambient) I would definitely deactivate it.

I'm gonna have to call bull **** on this one! The tech rode the bike and didn't know it was doing EXACTLY WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO?? 🐂💩
Not sure why anyone would disable this feature.......
Mine comes on when it's over 80 out and only comes on after stopping at a traffic light or stopping anywhere when the bike idles for about 5 seconds. You can deactivate it by following the steps in the owners manual. Mine is active. Never comes on when outside temp. is under 80. The less heat on you and your motor is better in my book.
Cause it's annoying as **** to me..a little overkill when it's not that hot out.
Disabled mine too, hasn't been that hot this summer, only 3 90*+ days so far and if it gets uncomfortable it's easy enough to turn back on. And the bike really does sound like crap when it kicks in.

Does anyone have any documentation saying it comes on at outside air temp of 80F?
Not positive but pretty sure it says it in the owners manual you get with the bike, I remember someone posting a page saying it activates over ambient of 80*.
