Strange. Has to be the adjustment. Those Daymaker projectors should have outstanding illumination in reference to distance. Probably the best out there. Compare them to the stock dual halogens on a SG and you will be impressed!
I recently installed the Daymaker Reflector on my SGS because the dual halogen sucked! I ride mostly during daylight hours so I wanted to be more visible in the daylight and also wanted more visibility to the sides so I went with the Reflector which is far better than the Projector in that aspect. But for distance the Projector wins hands down!
I adjusted my lights and all seems to work better but not quite there yet. I compare these to the phase 7 lights I had on my earlier bike and they both have their strengths but the daymakers are more brighter. The phase 7 had more width.

Did the same on my sgs, the reflector works great! Well worth the money.

I agree 100%...was underwhelmed by the stock dual halogen and installed the Daymaker reflector headlight and WOW what a difference! Once I got it adjusted properly, the side-to-side light pattern is amazing. I still think I can adjust mine just a bit higher and get a little more high beam distance, but I'm extremely happy with it so far. I've had several of my riding buddies tell me that the new light is WAY more visible during the day and I've looked at it from all angles and it doesn't disappear the way the Daymaker Projector does. It even looks great when it's off...best money I've spent on the bike, IMO.

Probably the reason the new RoadGlides come with the Reflectors. I'm thinking the '15 Sg's will have them stock too.

Exactly...I live just up the road from Black Hills H-D and during the Sturgis Rally this year, there was a non-stop parade of '15 RGs on the road between there and my house. You can see the new RG projectors a mile away, very distinctive! I didn't take the time to test ride one, and they weren't doing test rides during hours of darkness, but I'm sure they are phenomenal at night, especially with 2 lights.
