Default Found the Right Bars!

Ok, stats first..... 5'7" and "stout". Stock bars were awful, way too far away and too low (go figure for a short guy....). After a lot of research, I ordered the Khromewerks +2 Sweepers (300515). Got them on, no new cables needed and...... ugh. Too wide and still felt too low and far away. The width made the very neutral wrist position uncomfortable because I was reaching out so wide....

So I called Khromewerks to ask them for help. For the next 20 minutes, Jim asked me a lot of questions, told me about the bars design and then mentioned they were coming out with a narrower set of bars with a slightly differentwrist position because I wasn't the first one to call about the width of their other sweepers..... The new bars (300519) haven't shipped to their dealers yet but they had several sets at their location and he'd sell me one.

Spent part of the day Saturday putting the new, narrower ones one and BINGO, they are SO much better for me. Hands are midway between my shoulders and elbows and just the right distance for me! I feel so much more in control of this beast on the road and backing it down my driveway...

Now, these are not $300.00 bars. They were $106.00 shipped to my house. But the service I got from Jim and the other folks I dealt with made me feel like they cost a fortune.

If you're looking for bars and are on the short side, these new narrow sweepers just might be the perfect ones for you. But you'll definitely need new mirrors as my hands take up about 50% of the batwing mirrors. I may keep them for a wide angle and use the handlebar ones I buy for behind me. We'll....."see".

And I'll have the wide sweepers up for sale for you taller guys and gals. They are great bars for folks who are taller.......

I just ordered a set of the +2 sweepers in Black (#300811). I'm 6'0", so I am hoping these are gonna work for me. I want wider bars with less wrist angle. I can't wait for these to come in so I can try them out.
