I don't use it & I live in Phoenix. This is the coolest running Harley I've had ever since the 88" motors! I don't know if it's the rear cylinder heat shields or the water cooled heads, but this thing's a dream sitting at stoplights!

Because its annoying. I rode through 120 degree weather in late July from Needles, CA through Las Vegas, NV with stop and go in Vegas. Bike ran fine and I have lower fairings and the wind deflector fangs.

I turned mine off also. With the EITMS engaged it would stumble and sputter, almost stalling when I twisted the throttle to start rolling again. I definitely do not want to be sitting at a green light with a bike that has stalled.

I keep mine off because I have no use for it. It is there to keep the RIDER cool, not the engine. I don't notice the heat so no need to turn it off.
Of course I came to this Limited after riding rigid choppers and sitting on a hot oil tank with my marbles resting on the rear cylinder of an S&S 113", so I really don't feel any heat now.

Cause I dont know ill ask... I was under the impression that it would come on on its own when necessary and then shut off when necessary. When I hit the button to see air temp oil and Emts it shows its disabled. Im riding a 14 sg.

When disabled it will never come on.

There are 3 status'. Disabled, Enabled, Active.

Active means you've got a 1 cylinder thumper banging away. Enabled means you're running on 2 but it's possible to run on 1 in the right cirumstances. Disabled means you will always run on 2.

That's why I blip the throttle before I take off.

While you're sitting still with the bike on, roll the throttle forward all the way and hold it there. If you're looking at that info screen you'll see it switch away from disabled.

You'll also see your cruise control indicator blink. If it's blinking green that means you enabled EITMS, if it's blinking orange that means you disabled EITMS.
