thank you much appreciated info here and the rest of the board.

I've been leaving EITMS on just cuz. Glad to hear in this thread that it goes active often. I was wondering about that. Vibration at stop seems fine to me and a blip on the throttle brings the sleeping cylinder alive when the light turns green.

I do feel this bike runs pretty hot. I still have the stock exhaust with slip ons. Maybe some changes are necessary there. 1000 service tomorrow so I hope to chat with the mech.

That stumble at stop lights is what annoys me. Yes, blip throttle and it kicks off but what happens when you don't kick it off is what gets me. The bike stumbles turning it off prior to a light change. You have to time the light right or it will go right back in. It would be nice if the thing stayed off for 15 seconds.

This.

Harley has stated from the introduction of the EITMS that it is designed for rider comfort.

The rest of it is a machine, and a few degrees really doesn't make a difference.

I live in South Texas, and have never had it "enabled". San Antonio traffic can be brutal... Nor did I enable it on my '11 in Appalachia.

If you blip the throttle as the light changes, it will turn the rear cylinder back on, and allow you to ride away as normal...

I didn't like that, so I simply disabled mine.

yes, I figured that out real quick. It's the stumble turning it off I don't like. Imagine that trying to pull out in traffic at a turn? That is what I don't like.

I turned that **** off and we rode two-up yesterday. Much better. I guess it's good for straight traffic but it seems much better without.

I keep it turned off because I don't like the sound or the feeling it gives the bike. Having it on is for my comfort, not to help the engine.
