SGS fairing mirror scuffs

I put some 10" YBB on my bike which rendered the fairing mirrors useless. So, I take them off and now the gloss inner fairing has scuffs from where the plastic mount bracket was. I'm sure others have the experienced the same thing. Has anyone tried to polish those out??

It's on my todo list as well. Took mine off 2 weeks ago. I have a small scratch in my tank to. I'll probably find a good detaer to try and buff/wax it out.

Mine were taken off before the bike was ever ridden so they didn't have a chance to vibrate enough to scratch anything but I still have the 2 plugs to look at which are ugly. I thinking of using the HD "Metal Adhesive Backed Medallion" #99352-82Z to cover them.
