ADM's 2018 114" Fat Bob thread.....
We can handle the truth. Send pictures of the girls on their bikes. okay?.
ADM. I like the mirrors on the bike. Your making it your own! I haven't seen many that have an adjustment down at the bottom. I searched high and low a few years back for ones with that option because the bars I had I couldn't get the mirror adjusted enough to see behind me. Those would have done the trick.
Sorry to disappoint brother, just a bunch of salty soldiers and thier motorcycles living here.
It's only a very teeny mod though. I changed the mirrors.
I have hated the stock mirrors as they mainly show me my shoulders no matter how much I adjusted them. I wanted something a bit longer and none of the HD mirrors really justified their cost to me over here. They want $250 USD for a set of Buckshot mirrors here and I'm not paying that. HD mirrors will have to wait for my next US business trip.
I have seen people successfully invert that style of adjustable mirror on a harley with ease due to the adjustable stem... no tank bumping (
Also - one kind forum member here is shipping me a take-off HD side mount plate holder, so that will go on to replace the ugly Diavel one that the EU bikes ship with!
That all said, I just dropped my Fat Bob off at the dealer today to get the Stage II installed... went with the SE Torque Cam, SE backplate and K&N for the stock Ventilator, and SE Street Cannons. I spoke with the parts dept about getting the cat removed from the head pipe, and they quoted me $400 for the job. They also said that the cat on the FB is very small compared to the ones used on the touring bikes, and the amount of restriction is negligible. I want to keep the stock style exhaust look, so they suggested that I wait for an aftermarket stock style head pipe to shake out as I would prob see more gains from that than removing the cat on the stock exhaust. I will prob replace the street cannons with the new slipons from S&S as soon as they come out. Just wanted to get the work done to my bike within the two month warranty window so I had to go with the Street Canons for now.
Cheers man!

Finding the throttle assist was not my problem. The hesitation is that they do not list a throttle assist for the Avon Memory Foam grips. I searched all over for an Avon throttle assist that indicated it would fit the memory foam grips but found none. The ebay listing indicate the Air Cushion or Custom Contour or they just leave out any reference to which grips they will work on.
On the Avon Grips website. They only list the throttle assist for their Air Cushion or the Custom Contour grips. In the end cap section of their web page all the end caps either have Air Cushion or Custom Contour in the names. No end caps are listed for the other models they have. When browsing through the Air Cushion and Custom Contour grips pages of the website. You see those grips being offered with the throttle assist. When you browse the other type they offer (Flame, memory foam, old school, tribal, and v-cruise) none are offered with the throttle assist. In the throttle assist section of their webpage they have nothing listed except for two straps on that they call Throttle Boss not Assist.
I did send Avon Grips (and a couple of website that sell the product) an email on Friday asking if the throttle assist end cap would work with memory foam grips but have not gotten a reply yet. I will let you know once I find out for sure if they will fit.
Noise = Upset Neighbors/roommates. Being pulled over/ticketed for noise pollution or any reason they can think of.
Opening up the exhaust can make the bike run leaner which I believe will make it run hotter. You would want a tuner on hand to richen it up if this ended up being the result.
I am sure addition or correction will be applied to this post.

Nice and simple ten minute job and I think they look a lot better than stock. They certainly feel much better than the stock grips.
