Default Fatbob 2018 windshield buffering

I’ve got a 2018 fatbob with a 19 inch Harley windshield, I’m 5 11 and no issues with buffering, I mounted an older street glide windshield bag on my windshield and it shifted the windshield forward about 1/4 inch. That made all the difference. The wind force is now approximately 3 inches above my head.
As for the updraft, I mounted Memphis shades fork deflectors and it solved the updraft issue. Very nice ride.

$600 for two machined aluminum blocks? Seems way too steep for what you get....

I thought Big Al’s were too high.

It's been a while since I've updated, and there have been a few very good changes.

First: I swapped out the stock 3.6 gallon tank for a 5-gallon tank. It came together beautifully, and I absolutely love this mod. As part of this mod, I got a custom tank bib from Chris at Three Mutts Customs, and I put on some 2018 115th Anniversary tank badges.

Next, I modified the windshield to get rid of the horrible buffeting. Thanks to a genius idea from Oz Gary as documented in this thread, I have been able to completely vanquish all traces of helmet buffeting, while also moving the mounting position of the windshield back down to where it normally rides.

Here's what the clips look like on my bike, and the amount of rake they introduced:

And, finally, one of my Paughco fork wind deflectors (fangs) got bent irretrievably so I ditched them, but -- even with the new windshield rake and having the helmet buffeting solved, I found that there was a lot of wind coming around the tank and I missed having the deflectors and I liked the angled, aggressive look they give the bike. So I ordered a set of Fat Boy deflectors from JES Customs. JES doesn't (as of the time of this writing) offer fangs specifically made for the Fat Bob, so I ordered some Fat Boy fangs and modified them to work by drilling a hole 4.75" above the lower mounting hole, and then cutting off the excess above that new hole. These new fangs are smaller than my old ones, but they work very well, I'm really happy with them and they add that extra bit of edginess that I liked from the original ones.

Big thanks to forum member Hulkss and his excellent mods & accessories thread, for pointing out this replacement horn set:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You get two horns, a high tone and a low tone, for under $20. It's basically a plug and play affair, just unbolt the old horn from its bracket and pop off the two electrical connectors; slip the connectors onto the new horn and then bolt it where the old one was. It's loud as hell, exactly what you want a horn to be, and you even get a second horn for your other bike. You can buy just one horn but it's only like $1 less, at that point it's almost worth getting both and just giving one to a buddy who has an anemic stock horn.
