I've struggled with buffeting on all my bikes that had a windshield. I wish I had all the money spent trying to figure it out. I can't tolerate it at all and the ONLY thing that works for me is to take the windshield off. Clean smooth air and the bike is faster and rides better without the sail. I wear a full face helmet though. Makes the stomach muscles stronger! I have figured out one thing though. Most people who suffer from really bad buffeting including myself don't wear their helmet tight enough. I always wear a helmet but have tried it without one and the buffeting is gone. Windshields make a good sled!
You just need to add cloth or foam so a full coverage helmet seals around your neck. It does not have to fit tight. The buffeting is like what you get with windows part way open in a car.
Hi guys !
I'm still thinking about enlarging the rear end of the Heritage to accomodate a 180x16.
The best route is to get Low Rider or Sport Glide struts but I cannot find any long fender that could fit.
1- Does anyone knows if the Touring fenders could be easily modded to make the job ?
2- I really like the front fender of the Freewheeler. Can Touring front fenders be bolted on our forks without swaping the brackets ?
(I plan to put a 18'' or 19'' front wheel)

Longest wider HD softail fender would be a rear off a 2010-2012 CVO convertable Twin Cam, 200 tire

Thank you for that, I'll look at it.
But, beside the width, rear fenders from previous years work with the 2018+ ?
I know front do not because of the mounting point spacing.
But if the rear match then I could start from a Fatboy fender and slim it a little bit.
Now what I need to know is if the seating area works from years to years and I think someone already told me he did not think so ...
Was on their web site and was wondering what bag did you start with? Are they all about the same size as whats stock on the 20 Heritage?
Thanks
I started with the Iron Max bags and added the conchos pony fringe and the cargo straps and black studs these bags are bigger than the stock bags and are 14 gauge leather all around the stock heritage bags are vinyl covered plastic and look a lot bigger outside than inside I had a set of there Freedom bags on my old softail and wished I didn't sell them with the bike these bags are a little pricey but well worth it in the quality you get.
