So after almost a year of having a Low Rider, I finally ordered saddlebags from LeatherPros. They won't be here for a while but in the mean time, can anyone tell me what I need to remove the bolts from the rear fender strut? I've done some searching but couldn't find anything specific for this bike.
What I have found are some horror stories about how difficult it is to remove the bolts. I really don't want to have to fluck around with drilling and ****.
I like my Leather Pros bags, I didn't have to re-locate my turn signals. The install was easy, I like how fast I can remove them and that I can use the Harley backrest/rack with them.
Damn, I had a hell of a time with these... Dealer couldn't find them listed, didn't realize they were factory part numbers as opposed to accessory numbers!
But finally got them...
Swapped handlerbar, now the heritage one is on. more pullback / riser. Feel confortable, now can sit fine using all the back support. The added back pad is no longer need, will go soon
Added front brake line extrnsion and turn signal wire extension, 4 hours job
No, and since then I have made 1 1/2" lowering plates, and it still doesn't scrape.
Hi Eddie,
Any chance we could see your lowered Mini Floorboards, any photos will be fine cause we need to keep this thread going ,its been a little quiet of late around here

This is the plate from the left side... I ended up with a "spare" because I didn't realize the bolt pattern was different on the right.
Made from a 1/4" piece of 6061 aluminum.

Great fix. On my Lowrider, with the "mid controls", after 25 miles, I was cramping up. After 50 miles, it got painful. After that, it was dangerous. I went with the forward controls, which allowed me to log as many as 500 miles in a day (with a back rest) with little to no problem. But, if they had another inch or two, of extended leg room, they'd be perfect. Seems you nailed it.
