So I just put on new drag bars on my breakout. Got everything wired back together. Noticed a amber check engine light. I looked and now I have these error codes:
P2127
P2138
P2122
Looked at the tbw throught the notch and all the wires seem to be there. All the wiring came through ok, I used pulling lube foam. Starts fine, all my blinkers and brakes work. I dont have the headlight hooked up, but from the reading I did it looks like its an ecm. So I dont think that would cause it. When I was attaching everything I did notice one stray connection, but it was loose when I pulled everything. It is in the pic below. Any ideas or thought would be most helpfull
I keep reading about a green plug half way up. I am going to pull the wires back out tonight and check that. I think my loose end from the TBW cables has to do with heated grips, can anyone confirm this?
When unchanged bars on my Sport Glide, i happened to pinch the wires to the turn signals at each switch housing on the bars.
It threw a few codes.
tail light and running lights were gone at that point.
I don’t remember if the codes were what’s on your bike, but something you might wanna double check.....

What did you do to correct the pinched wires? When you say pinched are you talking about the insulation to the wire core, or simply a sharp bend in the overall wiring? All of the codes i have are related to the ECM throttle position sensor. Also, is there an easy way to pull the pins out of the end connectors. I have tried to look up pictures and tutorials and can't get the little turds out.
When I changed mine the first time, I depined the connector and ended up damaging the locks, so one pin wasn't seating fully and intermittently disconnecting. It caused a momentary WOT surge (which was quite interesting in low gear) and then the codes. Now when I depin, i buy a new connector in advance and just toss the old one when done.
Suggest you look at the receptacles on the connector on the TBW harness in the bars, make sure all connectors are fully forward. Maybe blow it out with some compressed air to make sure none of the lube got in there. When you were pulling, were you pulling by the cable, or by the connector? Perhaps the connector got caught up and some pins were displaced.

Let me know.
I actually didnt need to use the pull cord when i put the TBW through the bars. I did have to pull it out of the hole by the risers via a pair of needle nose, but tried to be very gentle with it. I inspected the cables at the terminal end of the wire to make sure i didnt knick any of the insulator housing on each wire. I keep reading about a green clip that can come undone while running the other cables. Do our softails have that as well?

No, only touring models have the two piece TBW cables, not our softails. Question, did you clear the codes and they return?

no I didn't clear them. I thought about it, but its so crappy here i cant take it out for a short ride to see if they come back. Crap. If it isn't the two piece TBW, i am at a loss. They are just drag bars, so there are not really any sharp angles. I didnt have them disconected for several days, I dont know if that matters

Again, take a look a both connectors. Make sure the pins are all clean and even (same height) on the bike side, and the sockets are all flush up against the connector on the sensor side. Reset those codes and maybe try twisting the throttle a few times with the ignition on, but the bike not started. See if they come back. To clear codes, here's a good description. https://dgcustomcycle.com/tech/harle...es-04-present/
