I had the same thing happen on my Sport Gide as well. Like Night Hawk suggested above, I dissassembled my dash and removed the plastic piece and attached it to the trim with 3M black weatherstrip adhesive. I did this last summer and about 3000 miles ago. I wonder why they simply didn't mold a couple **** on the trim piece instead of using the plastic part, oh well who cares I still dig the **** out of my scooter.

The first accessory I purchased for my 19 FLSB was the black console kit. It came with a steel tank strap that replaced the rubber one, and because my bike is black, it looked somewhat unfinished. I used some aluminum I had in the garage and made some inserts. Better pics (and clean paint) to come.
