I was riding for a few hours yesterday when i noticed the idle "tempo" on my fxlr spend way up. I had been riding the bike pretty hard and when I came to a stop light the idling went through the roof. I'd rev the engine real quick and the idling would return to normal for a minute before increasing again. Heres a video of what i'm talking about. Does anyone have any ideas?

Check your engine oil level asap. My 2019 fxbb started showing and "eratic" idle at around 700 miles. Brought the bike in and they found it was a quart low on oil. I felt stupid for not checking it myself. I check it regularly now and after my 1,000 service and replacing with Amsoil, I noticed I still lost another 1/2 quart by the 1,900 mile mark. Seems my bike (possibly all of them) vaporize oil into the breather quite a bit when they're new. H-D told me the oil loss should decline over time and by around 2,000-3,000 miles I should see minimal losses.

Sorry i should have included this. I pulled over immedietely and checked the oil. It was a little under half a quart low. I topped it off. But the issue continued.
I would doubt it's an issue with your oil pump. It may, however, be from an air leak from somewhere giving false reading to the computer. Just a guess here as my bike is a 96 and doesn't have all those fancy gadgets on it.

Check for TB leaks ,clean your TB.If it's not those the EITMS could be playing up or your inlet is warping.

Idle is not oil level dependent , your outcome was a coincidence. You should not be losing oil , did you run the bike in by the book , as if you did that's why it's using oil.Bikes should be run in hard but not stupid. Sorry OP if I'm OT.

No i did not believe it had anything to do with the oil level. It was barely low at all.
