My disposable 1L bottle method works on every bike I’ve owned... I can’t see why that wouldn’t .
I can't say for sure, but I think I'll try Mchad's soda bottle method first and save myself $20.

Made a funnel out of aluminum foil for my wife's Sporty last year, but still made more mess than I wanted. Nice to have spray brake cleaner around to clean up.

The one “tool” I did buy from HD is their drain pan. It’s perfect for all three holes, covers the motor/trans/pri so you can drop all three at once, and it was pretty cheap as I recall. It’s also low profile so you don’t have to jack up the bike to fit it under.

Default JIS screwdrivers

Here's a weird one to post for Harleys since it mostly applies to Jap bikes, but I do know these have come in handy a few times on my Dyna (like working on the instruments)
Amazon Amazon

JIS are the Japanese standard for cross-head screws. If you've ever wondered why your Phillips screwdrivers round out the heads of your screws, this is probably why the internal angles are different than the USA-based Phillips head. I haven't poked around the new Softail enough to identify screws with JIS, but these drivers are cheap and are useful for other Asian-made stuff (like your Hitachi leaf blower or something like that).

Hozan makes good stuff, too. Must of my electrical crimpers are made by Hozan.

The Ernst works just fine, here it is on my 2018 Slim.

Thats a nice kit. They make quality stuff.

I put together my own, basically a high quality small adjustable wrench, a set of torx and allen bits and a mini ratchet for the bits. That, a handful of good quality wire ties, a 'lil larry LED light and thats all I ever needed for quick work.Clearly not changing a tire with it, but tightening a screw here and there, def.

Fits in a pocket in my molle handlebar bag.

Here's everything:

(the small one, just to give a little length to the bits)

Also have one of these I got just for the holder. Put the better quality bits in it.

Anyone know what size allen wrench is used for the front axle? (FLSB if it matters) I need to get me an allen socket.

Also, what size is the rear axle (left side)? I used a 1 1/8" socket, and it worked OK, but felt just a little bit sloppy. Maybe a 28mm?

Thanks

I can't get the Harley thing to work i just always take a thin cardboard like a cereal box cut it about 5 inches wide and as long as you need . Fold a crease lengthwise and slip it under the oil filfter. Keep it tight and never spill a drop.

The answer was in a different thread, but I'll list it here also so its under the entire "2018+ Tools" category.

3/4" or 19mm hex socket / allen wrench.
