Harley has a tool set made by Snap on....Cost right about $200
NO part Number....Ask for it at the counter.
This is dam good set, Just about everything ya need to work on your bike.
It's a nice Basic kit..Add some T handles and other tools as needed....
I'm definitely Glad I bought mine....

15/16" x 3/4" x 1/4" x 5/16" Box Wrench

Can't find the thread about jacks, but might as well go in this thread to post info about tools and working on your 18+ Softail.....

I need a jack to install my rear shock. The most recommended ones seem to be the two models from Harbor Freight.
The CHEAP one: https://www.harborfreight.com/1500-l...ift-60536.html
and the GOOD one: https://www.harborfreight.com/1500-l...ift-63397.html

But I don't use a motorcycle jack all that often - ok, I have track stands for sport bikes - which work fine for adjusting chains and changing oil. My problem is that the garage is jammed packed full of crap (motorcycles, car and MC parts, yard and house tools, bicycles...) and adding one more BIG thing like these jacks will put me over the edge!!!)

Anybody use one of these little scissor jacks?

For that matter, what about just using a pair of automotive floor jacks, one on each frame rail somewhere below the swingarm? Anybody rig up something like that?

I am in the same situation as you...don't use the jack that often and don't have a lot of room to store it. I got the blue aluminum jack from Harbor Freight (the second link you posted). Its light enough to carry around, and when you take the handle off it is flat enough that you can hang it on a wall or from a ceiling rafter.

You're right! 48 lbs vs 78 lbs. Big difference.

But I have no walls to spare! Gotta get rid of some stuff!!!

I do, it's all I use. Very safe, one end at a time.

Must admit I'm leaning towards the aluminum one, but sheesh, where am I gonna put it?

Will that little red one fit on a shelf?
