Default Fitting an M8 Deluxe with a Tool Box

Hi from Australia. Has anyone fitted one of the ribbed side tool boxes from the 2008 - 2010 Deluxe model to an M8 Deluxe yet? Love to see if the brackets etc will potentially line up....or is there too much modification to be done?
Thanks

MoneyFor made a great tool box using a pistol case in this thread:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/2018-...this-year.html

[QUOTE=MoneyFor;18044057]We have are reading glasses on, a bit smaller text would be fine .

It is indead a pistol case ( make I didn't now ) , I made a metal bracket to mount it on because the case itself is a bit of thin plastik, I added the HD logo to it to make it of.

Thanks but I'm looking for the original chrome toolbox...for a Deluxe 2018. Just need to know if anyone has done the mod yet.

Anyone’s had a go yet? I’m considering picking up a standard Harley one and having a go at fabricating up some sort of mounting system.

And for those who already have a Deluxe (mine is a week or so out still) which do you think would be a simpler install - left side or right side? Thinking about space and obstructions etc.

Having done some more thinking I’ve ordered a left side box from the US and I plan to fit it to the swing arm in lieu of a swing arm bag.

I needed something to put the title and insurance papers in, the case with bracket I made was enough for me.

And a truly beautiful (and inexpensive!) job at that.

Why can't Harley just put a little documents holder under the seat like every other motorcycle I've owned for the last 40 years? Seriously!
