I don't know if this helps at all, but I put the longest stock HD shock in an FXBB(shortest shock) and I still use the stock jiffy stand .It does lay over more but not much , I also lowered the forks in the triple tree to just under level of the top triple clamp at the same time.
HTH.

I'd love to see a pic of your FXBB if you wouldn't mind. I'm considering the same for mine.
The fender and struts will be coming off and an alloy hugger fender guard will be going on for cools .
The **** is jacked up and it looks weird but I have more clearance .Today I took the forks down through the triples another 3 or 4 mm(3/32 to 1/8") than in this picture.
For the 18+ Softails, who has replaced their rear shock absorbers and were you happy with the choice made. I don't have enough miles on the stock equipment to make a judgement but I would like to lower the seating/frame about an inch. HD doesn't go overboard in their quality in selecting shocks. Example was the air shocks like I had in the 2011 touring. Adequate for many, unacceptable for some including me. Different manufacturers of the shocks. HD has their own "upgrade", Ohlins, Progressive are some I familiar with. After much research including this forum, I went with Progressive 940 for my 11 touring. The rear shocks on the 15 touring were adequate for me. I had lowered the Fatboy using HD kit and it was OK also. Rough earthy ride. Girlfriend described it as "graphic". Contributed to interesting evenings. I digress so back to shocks.
My riding isn't a bar hopper, I take trips maybe short, maybe a few hundred miles in a day. I'm not an aggressive twisty type and the riding may go from flat desert or swamp to mountainous. I don't need great but I want good. metes 2 up so need to make some adjustments. I know that "no good deed goes unpunished" and changing shocks can make the ride more harsh, reduce lean angle, etc. My brief research found the HD offering of 3/4" lowing and similar construction. Progressive has their offering and pricy ($650-820+-) but for the Heritage is offered in 4 different lengths with 4 different ride heights. Ohlins has theirs but no different height offerings. NOTE that Ohlins for a Deluxe are .6" shorter than the Heritage12.5 vs 13.1 (13.1 is stock Heritage shock length). Also very pricy $925. I didn't look for any others.
Guess one option is ride it like it is to determine if the stock shocks are suitable for my riding style and wallet. But hearing from some actual fellow experimenters would be very helpful.
I swap back and forth from my old 08 Ultra Classic to my newer 2018 Softail Deluxe and flip flop many times over which one has the softer ride but most time lean towards the Softail Deluxe. It has totally blown my mind. Am also too scared to purchase a seat because mine is just to comfortable even on a week long ride, just perfect.
I have been riding Harleys for over 40 years and still have the one I 1st rode at 13 (74FLH) and to me the new Softail is the best! If the last softail rode as soft it would be the winner but it doesn't.... My hardtail choppers running 16psi in rear tire ride better than some of the 90s Softails I have ridden.
Ride her for a while and enjoy. Spend money on POWER😁
Ride Safe✌

Awesome looking bike, thanks for the pic! Are those 2 inch risers with the stock bars?
They're from DKCustoms those guys are site sponsors here, they're stand up guys too.
I think they're just the 2" black thin ones , they work that's all that matters.

I love their youtube channel. I ask questions and comment on their videos all the time. They are pretty helpful guys.
I did the progressive 465 out back on my fxbb. The oem shock has a pronounced chop over bumps. Almost hitting bump stop feeling. The progressive fixed this. Is stiffer initially but dont get the bump hop or that low spine shock like the oem rear shock. I ride pretty aggressive, drag pegs and exhaust at times. It handles it really well. Im 200lbs with gear and it makes a big difference swapping the rear out
