Fp3
So the questions are:
Is it worth fitting an FP3 and high flow filter? I’m not after performance increases but if the bike will run ‘better’ (I think it runs fine now) then it probably is.
Should i I wait until after the 1000 mile service? Not sure if it makes any difference.
Any other thoughts on the FP3 in general, especially on the M8 107 or would you recommend alternatives? I don’t plan on any further tuning.
Thanks!
Paul
The Power Vision in the UK is around £200 more expensive. If we had US pricing it would be a no brainer especially with being able to purchase bike licences and not a new unit for every bike.
because I got one for the FXFBS and change it with a FP3 and the PV was stored well
The PowerVision is a better tuner for 100$ more ish, and has way more stuff to deal with and you don't have to use your phone.
I would consider that if you're looking at an FP3.

The great thing about the PV is it can act as an extra instruments gauge, even if you dont plan on tuning with it.
And Dynojet's access to tuning profiles is vastly wider than Vance and Hines.
By technically, on average, the PowerVsion is cheaper because it's a self contained unit rather than requireing a 2ndary unit to work with it.
But everyone has a phone these days so it doesn't really matter.
PV's stuff helps a lot more with tuning issues that people want to fix, and Dynojet is very communcative with customers for helping out with their bikes. Even customized tunes that can cope with altitude and gas milage.
The other great thing about the PV that most people dont really recognize, is that a phone can have issues and crash, which can be a problem for an FP3.
PV doesnt have to deal with that as it's a self contained integrated computer system.
For people like me, the PV is a better choice because I want to purchase a tool with the express purpose of dealing with the bike exclusively.
I already hate using phones as it is, I dont wanna deal with that ontop of working with a motorcycle.
A customizable dash gauge panel that's more advanced that even the most advanced glass cockpit motorcycles are running, is a pretty great thing to have on hand.
Plus the PV goes on sale for the same price as the FP3 fairly often. FuelMoto has sales for them all the time.
Same price for a better tool and customer service? I'll pay that.

but to be honest at this moment the FP3 al so can do this. For most people is a FP3 more then enough for tune the bike with a slip-on and a airfilter. The PV, I do not use anymore and bought
another FP3 for the FXFBS like on my other Harley's.
