Default Leatherpros Mounting Options

Picking up a 2020 FXLRS soon and need bags. I really want to go with the V3 Leatherpros retro bags but I'm not sure how to mount them without ditching the rear signals. I was hoping that the Harley signal relocation would push them back far enough to work, but Gary from Leatherpros said it still didn't put them back far enough. I'm not a fan of the EZ mount bags with the cut out for the stock signals, and I can't do an integrated taillight due to state laws.

Anyone out there find a way to make it work?

Thanks.

I have the HD kit on my bike Low Rider. Well built but looks kind of meh...
.
You could mount the turn signals on the license plate using the kit for the Dynas or Sportsters. At least my 2019 FXLR uses the classic 3-hole license plate bracket (verified when I installed a lay-down license bracket). This is what I have on my Dyna:

.
There are several other types like this:

I'm also in the same boat as you, or will be when I go to purchase a leather pros set up for my 2020 FXLRS. Personally, I'm planning to ditch the turn signals all together and get a rear brake/running light combo with the turn signals built in. These are sold by Speedkings for instance and are fully plug and play with the factory specific wiring harness, it's about ~$100 for both the new led rear light and wiring harness. Just my input.

This may move the signals back far enough

If doing an integrated light was an option that's what I'd go for, it's by far the cleanest look.

The Biker's Choice won't work with a laydown plate, so my only option might be the Easy Brackets, but I'm not a huge fan of the looks based off of those pictures. I may try something like https://www.alloyart.com/softtail/so...m-strut-lights which isn't any more legal than the integrated taillight and just roll the dice.....

I just ordered the leather pros for the SLRS I don't have yet. Haha I intend to try removing the stalks from the signals first to see if that moves them enough. I did it on my Blackline and my Breakout and loved the look. Just not sure if the bags will clear them.

If not I will be changing the signals to some much smaller ones like I put on my R1. Super small and very very bright.

24v- Were you able to get the sigs mounted solid to the struts without the stalks? My only worry would be them having some wiggle and pinching a wire.

On those bikes in the pics, yes. On a SLRS, not yet, don't have one yet. Not sure what you mean about them having some wiggle? They were bolted straight to the struts, no play at all.

Just wondering if without the stalks the rounded body of the signal against the flat side of the strut didn't sit flush and made it more likely to loosen up with vibration. Appreciate the info.

They are not round where they bolt up. There is a little flat spot where the signal meets the strut.
