Default Buffeting

Is the wind buffeting any better on the new Heritage compared to and older one. Looking at buying a 2020 and am hoping it’s better than the 2009 I had.
Thanks

Given a lot of people have added the fangs and or changed to taller recurve windshields, I would think the same. I had a lot of buffeting so changed both from the start. Others will have little or no buffeting.

Added Jes wind deflectors and a taller Freedom windshield. Little to no buffeting now.

Must be a personal thing. Rider height, distance from the screen, screen height.

My Dyna had one of those classic barn door windshields. I couldn’t stand the thing with all the buffeting. Others have no problem.

For me, I've got batwings now on both the Dyna and my Low Rider. MUCH happier.

Compared to my 16 Fat Boy the 18 Heritage is nowhere near as bad. There is some though but it doesn't bother me

Wind should not be confused with buffeting. Buffeting is a noisy irregular pounding turbulence as opposed to wind which is fairly steady. Buffeting often seen in some cars with a certain window down as wind flow is disrupted creating turbulence. The air coming under the windscreen and up to your chest is just wind. Some people use the fangs to reduce that. For me it isn't a problem and I don't get any buffeting from the 19 Heritage.

No buffeting at all on my 114 Heritage softail. Installed the Fangs that were on my Road King. The Fangs made all the difference. 6' tall w?32" inseam.

No wind blast with the stock windshield and Fangs. Happy camper here even cruising at the 111 MPH speed limiter.

Curious which batwings you are using and with what height shields? Memphis shades or another brand? Would love to see photos if you have them.

For you guys who run these larger shields,...doesn't it get too hot on hotter days without the wind to cool you down? Just seems like you'd cook between the sun beating down, the freeway heat coming up at you and the motor. I understand there's some wind,...but it seems like with a shield you're creating a convection oven in the rider area. Thoughts?
