2020 Deluxe. 150 miles on the clock. Showing it was running rich and taken into shop. Upon further review ... Oil Pump failure.
kicking myself for getting rid of my triumph.
Most likely a fluke. Let the warranty do its job and ride on...
On the other hand....no idea what “running rich” and oil pump failure have to do with each other so....who is your dealer?

Rockstar Harley up in fort Myers , Fl. I checked my fluids and they were all good. Nothing out of the ordinary..
Maybe someone familiar with that area can chime in on their service quality. The M8 Softails have been fairly trouble free so hopefully it’s something simple. Fluids being good is a good sign.
What was the indication the bike was running rich, did it throw a code? And then that code was actually being triggered by the oil pump failure?
If so, I’d say it’s be handled and soon behind you. At least the dealer seems to be pro active which is a good sign. Sucks to have a new bike have an issue, but these things are hard to kill generally. Hopefully you’ll be riding in smiling in no time.

Yeah , it was throwing a running rich code and really smelled of gasoline after a ride. The inner exhaust was also covered in soot. I am going up tomorrow to talk to the service folks. I noticed they are open on a Sunday.
I stopped in the dealer today. I ordered the quick detach bags and needed to pick them up. The tech working on my bike is going to call me Tuesday to discuss the problem in depth. Side note .. the bags didn’t come with the “included” protectant .. not a big deal but I am finding this typical of HD..
Hmmmm curious to hear the explanation if there is one. I’m having a stage 2 done and told the dealer when they are in there if I have the old pump replace it with the new one
When did H-D start putting the "new" pump in our Softails??? My dealer has no clue and was unable to find the answer for me.
I'd also like the pn of the new pump.
