I love it. Now if there was only something I could do to make the rest of the bike look more like a '56 Panhead.

I changed my stock bars out for the Harley Hollywood bars. I also changed the grips to the Nostalgic grips and changed the tank badge. I think I am done except for hardbags and fishtails!

Xzotic offers "Panhead" style rocker covers for the TwinCams, but not yet for the M8s.
I'm sure they will eventually....

They came from here:

http://www.bbreproductions.com/

Would like to put some on the new bike but they won’t fit without changing the exhaust system, which would entail voiding the warranty and spending $$$$ on tuning the computer.

I miss the simpler times.

It’s not the rocker boxes. They look fine. It’s the stretched wheelbase and the frame and swingarm that look nothing like a rigid frame Harley. Not to mention the “fake” oil tank. No matter what I add or change the “bones” will always look wrong to my eye.

This is the cut and bend I had to make to clear the fender wiring harness. Just put pan in place and mark where wiring harness will touch. Cut the pan to allow clearance when you be d the metal.
I moved the wiring harness to the side after I removed the clip securing it. I'm surprised just how easy the base unit fit the 2018 Deluxe! Just swapping out the black springs for chrome ones and I'm finished. Pics up shortly.

It appears that there is a plate under the wire mesh.
So I'm just wondering - whats the wire mesh for ?

thanks,

And for that matter, that entire piece serves only to hide the shock and the ugly wiring harness.
