I did not, I end up picking up the bunking passenger/crash bars for $250
yeah they more expensive, I thought on the future I regret not having them, so I decided to spend more money, and my bike is now crash ready too
I've considered those also. Do they stick out further than passenger pegs? They mount up higher right? How does your passenger like them - being higher than regular pegs?

not sure if is does, but is probably longer, in case of you dropping the bike the stock passenger peg bends, bun-kings is one solid metal peg so your bike gets more protection, and is a bit higher too, not too much, this is my girl’s first time riding on a bike and hasn’t complain yet
my advise, be patient, save money and build your bike right, you be happier with the end result and probably save more money on the long run
