Default DK Custom EBS

Just ordered my catch can. My warranty runs out in June. Plan on installing this before then though, just prior to riding season. My idea is to tee two hoses coming off my breathers (with yellow fuel line), and then through a small hole drilled into the back of my Ventilator.
Any ideas on the best way to route and mount the hose and can? Pictures would be a big help. Feedback from anyone who has mounted theirs in front of the rear time and suffered no ill effects would be good to hear from also.

Mine had a filter but I just ran the lines down to a T behind the exhaust headers then ran the single hose down and to and along the bottom frame tube just before it bends back up towards the swing arm pivot point. Sorry I don't have better pictures. I removed this air cleaner and put my stock one back on and haven't modified it to vent externally yet.

Thanks for the info you did provide. Do you recall how often you have to empty the can?

Sorry for the delay in my response. I didn't have a catch can I had the breather filter on the end of the hose. Never had any oil in the line or coming out of the filter at all.

Thanks Man, I went back through some old threads. If I read them correctly this would be after they fitted your bike with a new pump?

No new pump but they replaced the oil pump plate (what they called it) with an updated version which has the seal attached. This was due to a bunch of oil coming out of my breather bolts. It was enough to saturate my air cleaner and start dripping on the side of the bike.

After they installed that plate, new jugs and pistons it has never had any oil out of the breathers again and no oil put of the external breathers. At the rate it was dumping out, it would have probably filled a catch can in about 20 or 30 miles or so.

Definitely a defect and a bad situation. Glad they worked it out right for you. Not sure why it seems that it's sometimes hard to get dealers to recognize and then do warranty work. Perhaps the moco pushing back?

My dealership haa never been hard to deal with for any warranty work or to fix issues that arise from work they do. They didn't push back at all and were happy to help. They tried simply replacing the breather valves thinking it may have been due to a bad one.

Once I came back about 20 minutes later with the oil still pop puking out, they took it right back in and got to work on it. I've heard about other dealers giving a super hard time about warranty work and anything related to warranty.

These guys will still honor the warranty even with aftermarket cams and tuners, if they did the work. So I keep going back to them.

Vented Dipstick should do effectively the same thing in practice. If your'e wanting to keep the oily **** off your intake, the M8 can use a vented dipstick, and not modify anything.

Not sure I want to pay Feuling prices to do that, and still have to deal with either a catch can or a filter. Is there a vented dipstick that releases the pressure in the pan and motor without also spewing oil?
