The parts to get are:
40444-07 rear pully 68T from a Sportster, this pulley has been used successfully on the previous generation Softails that have the same stock pulley as the 2018 Softails.
83595-11 front pulley 30T from a Trike, this pulley has been used successfully on the previous generation Softails, but, it is too wide for the 2018 Softails. It appears that it can be easily modified to fit.
3899 pulley bolts, to work with the Sportster pulley, these are 1/4" shorter than the stock bolts.
-2T in front +2T in back gets you a 10% ratio change and no need to change belts. VernDiesel is working out the front pulley issues. I think the belt guard will be close but OK with the 68T rear pulley.
I have not done this on my bike. Just reporting my research here.

I've currently got a 68T Sportster rear pulley on my 2019 Street Bob. It required a 3/16" spacer to line up and as Hulkss mentioned above, shorter bolts. Belt guard was VERY close right over the rear pulley so I chose to remove it. Will modify and refit after 70T swap.
Later today my transmission pulley swap will begin so I will report back on if the 30T pulley needs machining and exactly how much. Will also be going to a 70T rear pulley. I got one off a dyna, Part # 40114-00. This will also require a spacer but standard length bolts.
I will try and get some photos of everything if I remember.

Without the 30T front pulley installed, the axle is forward quite a bit with only the 68T rear pulley on the bike and stock 32T up front. Do think the pulley guard clearance will be OK if the axle was back about 1/4" where the 30T front pulley will put it?

I think that would be fine. As I said, it was close with the 32T front but still runnable, was just a little closer than I liked and knowing that I would be going to the 70T soon I'd likely have to modify it anyway.

Can confirm, 30T pulley is almost exactly 1/2" wider than the standard 32T pulley on my M8 Softail. Quickly had it skimmed down. mounting it up now.

32 Tooth Pulley Vs. 30 Tooth Pulley

Machinist has mine now. Should have it and the 70 tooth pulley next week. Stage 3 is already done. Looking forward to this coming together. What is the weather down there are you going to be able to get some riding in when you get her put together?

Just coming into riding season right now. I would expect to put about 5000 miles on it over the next 3 months...

Did you need to machine the hub face or just the pulley rim and teeth?
