I use a cable lock on my Harley.

It amazes me that HD has never put some kind of helmet lock on their bikes, like, umm, Japanese bikes. That said, the lock on newer Suzuki sportbikes requires you to unlock and remove the rear seat, and the tabs they provide are practically useless. A major step back from earlier days.

There are a ton of different bolt on options on Amazon,
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=helmet+lock&page=2&qid=1574426990&ref=sr_pg_1 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=helmet+lock&page=2&qid=1574426990&ref=sr_pg_1
but most of the cast housings look like aluminum or pot metal that could be broken open with a screwdriver.

EDIT: While googling for reviews of helmet locks (since I also want one mounted on the bike), ran across this review which covers about 75% of the bolt on locks: https://locklab.com/high-security-an...met-lock-junk/

EDIT2: Adding some bolt on options that don't look like total crap as I find them...
https://motomanufacturing.com/product/mirrorlok/ - Looks pretty substantial. Can't find a pic for Harleys, but I think they bolt via the acorn nut under the mirror stems.

I use one of these, run through the D-ring and lock it to my mirror stem.

My full face helmets (and gloves, etc.) always go with me if my bike is left in a parking lot that I don't have eyes on. My half helmet, well it is a bit skunky and they may or may not bring it back or throw it in the river.

In your signature I see "2018 FXDFS", what is that?

Thanks!
I assume that the metal tab fits thru the ratchet base for the Schuberth helmet

Thanks for the input!
Plenty of good suggestions here. My helmet is a Schuberth with their ratchet chin strap latch. It does not have D rings.so some of them won't work.
Several of you hang from the strap or set it on the mirror.I was wondering if that would hurt the helmet but that settled the issue for me.
