I used the gasket on the stock and my S&S mufflers. Sorry if V&H do not use them. The gaskets were a pain without the resizing tool. Now, I like the fit with the gaskets better than older no gasket mufflers.

They're a pain. I ended up using a wood block and a mallet to get mine on.

LOL- the way i worked it was a light tap on the clamp bracket to twist it as I maintained a push from the rear- but it worked...

Definitely. That's the only way I was able to get mine back off after the battle of getting them on. It's all worth it for the look and sound, though.
