Default Handlebar Risers

Hello All,

I was about to pull the trigger on some Trask Assault Risers for my 2018 Fat Bob when I came across a page mentioning that Trask has a riser that is model specific for the Fat Bob. I was a little surprised by this! Especially since it's sold out and runs a whopping $450.00! Does anybody have any insight on what is unique about the 2018+ Fat Bob that would require a riser specifically for that model?

The only discernible difference that I'm seeing (other than aesthetics) is that it is a 1" clamp vs a 1 1/4". What am I missing here?

Thank you in advanced!

I think the Fat Bob actually has 1 1/2" bars not the typical 1" or 1 1/4" bars.

After looking at the Trask website and after looking at my Drag website they do have 1 1/2" bars.

Thanks, I must've misread initially on the 1" clamp, it's definitely 1 1/2". it's looking like the risers are meant to accommodate the stock bars... Although it stinks, I really like the design changes here! Thank you for checking it out!

I definitely have searched, these threads are what got me this far, I just saw this inconsistency and was a little confused. Thank you for your response!

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Trask setup! Certainly going to give them a follow though, thank you for the suggestion!

Have you installed these risers yet? Would love to know if you got 5 or 7 inch and how you feel about them? Pics?

I've got the risers and bars installed, still waiting on break lines & clutch cable! I'll snap some pics I went with 7. The bars I got have about 4 inches of rise as well. It feels relatively comfortable although I do wish I had a little more kick back!

For the Non-ABS model it required a custom brake line kit, which stinks. ABS is much easier, buy an adapter, lengthen the upper line, add clutch cable length and you're good!

I was worried about kickback on these as well. The stock riser puts the bar back about 1.5 inches from centerline, and the Trask are straight up.

I have a none ABS bike as well. Can you tell me more about the front brake line situation. I looked at mine and it looks like you can"t take off just the line from the master cylinder to the distribution block. Did you have to order all new fronts and distro block? Where are you getting your new lines from? I thought I was ready to pull the trigger on bar and riser changes but this brake line thing is weird for non ABS bikes. Thanks in advance for any help!

For anybody who wants cost effective risers for their FatBob from 1.25 to 3.00", you need look no further than CJ Motorsports:

CJ Motorsports Fat Bob Risers

Properly engineered and built for the Fat Bob. And only between $180-220 depending on length. Have a chat with Charles - he's a top bloke and makes all the parts himself in house.
