Default Installed riser extensions on my Fat Bob

Let me begin by saying I am posting this from my phone so if auto correct Jack's it up I apologize.
Got the 3" extensions from bitchin seat company, kinda pricey but very well made. Color is slightly off under the shop lights but pretty close in natural light.
It was raining when I got off work, couldn't ride and I had two hours before a school function (singing) for the six year old so I decided to start the install. To my surprise I finished and had time for a quick ride when the rain stopped, total install time was about 40 minutes. Snapped a couple of pics to share, decided to post while sitting through other classes/grades singing. 🙄
As I said, easy install. No issue with brake line, had to bend wire harness captures slightly (both left and right), needed the slack from wires under tank, moved top clutch cable keeper up higher on down tube so I could angle it back slightly.
I like where they put my arms and they allow me to straighten my back instead of being hunched over. An added benefit, I can see a little better with the mirrors. Will still probably replace the mirrors soon.
Excuse the messy work shop, many projects going on...

Just a few various pics

Those look really good and I would like some myself. But holy f*ck - $600 for a couple of bits of CNC cut and powder coated alli bar!

Even HD would probably only sell those for $300 and that would still be robbery.

Yeah the guy said that because the Fat Bob isn't a super popular model that they don't have a super high demand for the riser extensions so that's why they have them priced so high. He also said until there is more interest in the risers that they can't drop the price at all. Looking at having these made by someone else at a much better price.

FLS103 those do look nice and sturdy. Let us know how they feel and how you like the new position of the bars. Never mind.... you already did tell us that. My bad. Haha

Let's do a group buy... See how much for a run of 20 sets.

I'm in.

They do look very good. Looking at that triple tree, it looks like you can’t use regular T-bars or risers, is that right?

Given the options I found to raise the bars and improve my comfort, the cost was not terrible. I like the stock bars but did not like any of the options for taller risers that would accommodate the 1.5" diameter bar. In fact the only rises that I felt would look right on this style of bike we're the Big Al's bubba clamp risers. Unfortunately they have a 1" clamping area so that meant new bars which is an added expense. The Big Al's risers are also 10" which would mean new cables and wire extensions too (another expense). Thought about having a set of spacers made and then coated which would have been a bit cheaper. This route would require me to remove the risers and leave them with the shop making the spacers if I wanted them to match the stock risers. Didn't really want the down time. I have not ridden since the fall of 2017 and I am really enjoying this bike so down time was not an option.
I debated the purchase for two weeks. Given the fact they match and required no down time I sucked it up and dropped the coin. Probably would have spent the money on something else anyway.

I’ve been eyeing these for a long while now waiting for the price to drop. They’ve been around for a while. I think they look great.. but at $600 they’re not for me. Way too high of a markup.

Almost as bad as $215 for the Blackmill plate relocation "kit" that does not include a light or the signal stand off. Yet people buy them. I made my own and painted it for less than $10.
If I had the means to make the spacers I would have.

At $300 or less I would be in too. $600 is just way too much, I could get the TTS100 cam and a Dyno time for $600.
