Default Lowrider-S mods, help needed

Hi guys,
My 2020 FXLRS arrives at the end of the month, new year registration here in the UK. I’ve got most things sorted as I want them but there is no luggage rack available... so I’m looking at a La Rosa swingarm bag, nearly £300 here so looking for advice. Also mirrors, can’t see a thing with the factory ones, so what are you doing about it? Extended arms? Under slung? Or swapping to something that looks great but still fairly useless? Look forward to your thoughts, cheers.

There are more than likely better swingarm bags out there but availability and cost in the UK is a factor. I have a La Rosa on my 2016 Breakout and they are really quite good, regular leather treatment is a must in our shitty climate but mine has given me and continues to give me great service. Top tip ditch the leather mounting straps with metal buckles and go for something that will not stretch/deteriorate when they get wet. I protected the frame with bicycle innertube and used giant cable ties. I also went with a fuel bottle one but don't need the fuel so have a large thermos bottle for cold drinks in Summer, hot in Winter, Godsend for longer haul journeys.

Not sure if Motherwell make racks for your model but I had one of those as well for a while. Great racks and well made.

Both the swing arm bags and luggage rack and a lot more can be sourced from A R Harley and Sons located near Blackpool. I have used them lots of times.

I ditched my standard mirrors as there was an horrendous blind spot. Extended arms are a solution but I tried a couple of options before ending up with Rizoma Tomoks. A lot smaller than OEM but longer that eradicated the blind spot had to buy Rizona readily available adaptors at extra cost to make them fit the Harley.

Hi guys,
thanks for the reply’s on the above. I can’t understand Harley missing out on a retail opportunity... LOL. But I assume you’re happy with the rack Mike? I only want it for days out so should be spot on. A nice new pack to go on it now 😀

It's a nice looking rack but only has one front and one rear support so is not meant for a heavy or large pack.
I'm also getting a Harley sissy bar and luggage rack, so depending on what I want to carry am ready.

K9F, which sort of mirrors were they? They look well engineered and the blind spot is a problem, I did think about inverting them but they’ll hit the tank...

Rizoma Tomoks I fitted. Smaller than standard but came out quite a bit further. As stated had to buy adaptors to get them to fit the Harley. As with everything Rizoma, well engineered but come at a price!
