I have a new fatboy that I feel the front end feels very harsh on sharp bumps and was wondering if this is normal for other Fatboy owners. Did anyone have to change out their front cartridges?
That would be my first check also. Correct pressures are printed on your right side down tube. I do not feel any harshness over bumps. If your pressure is correct it's gotta be something else.
I had issues with the factory Michelins. Front end used to dribble at speeds over 60. I could never get the dealer to look at it without them telling me I would be required to pay for them to remove the wheel from the bike to check if it was balanced. I refused to pay. So when the tires were shot at 4K miles... I bought and installed Metzelers and it has been smooth ever since.

Your stock tires were shot at 4K miles? What the f?
That blows. How are your tires balanced?
I'm gonna go with Ride-On balancer, 14oz front 18oz back.

I used to use that in my KLR650, it's an amazing product. I think it comes in 16oz bottles, so just take 2oz from one and add it to the other and there's your 14/18 split.

It comes in 8oz bottles for motorcycles.
I was thinking since I was gonna just use it for balance, i'd get the Car version which comes in a 16oz bottle for 23$.
JPCycles has the motorcycle version for 15$ an 8oz bottle.
