Question SAE connector - wiring?

Hi, I am trying to add a 2nd USB port to my 2019 fatbob - I purchased/installed the Innovv power hub Gen 2 (hardwired to the battery, and it now has 5 fused switched circuits available for me to use). I also purchased a USB kit (

) that has a SAE adapter at the end. The Innovv outputs are just a pair of positive/negative wires.
I'm not familiar with the SAE adapter - is it just a positive/negative terminal? If so, can I just cut the adapter off and connect the positive/negative wires to the ones from Innovv? (Which wire is positive/negative on the Innovv?)

The reason I didn't just connect the USB kit to the battery tender is so I didn't have to worry about leaving it connected and draining the battery.

What wire is positive? You might invest in a multi-meter that way you can check which wire is positive on the SAE connector. You don't want to get this wrong.
As for the innovv, you might check their users manual or send them an inquire which is positive.

OK, that seems like an overkill if all you needed was just one more USB port. Why not consider something like this?

I always prefer the simplest solution that can be easily replace if it ever goes bad. Good luck.

True, but the innov did 2 other things
  1. It ensures that I can't drain my battery by leaving anything connected directly to the battery
  2. Allows me to wire additional things (I got a front/rear camera hardwired to this - and it turns off when I turn the bike off. I also wired in a couple of aux lamps using the innov, and don't need to worry about draining the battery if I left the light switched on)
