Traffic Lights
I now have 700+ miles on my '20 Heritage 114 and am loving it. I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed that their Softail does not seem to register on the road sensors that switch red lights to green. If I'm the only vehicle at certain intersections, the light will stay red. My prior Harleys were all Touring models with more metal and heft, and I never noticed a problem.
Sometimes it's hit or miss. I think a lot has to do with where you position the bike in the lane. Yesterday, I pulled in a turn lane that I've had problems getting it to activate when on my '14 Limited. I was on my Heritage and it activated right away. So, like I said, it seems to be hit or miss. I have been known to run a few red lights when the light didn't change on the first cycle!

Depends on the sensitivity of the RF loop. We have two traffic signals in my town. One of them I can trip with my road bicycle, the other can’t be tripped with the Harley no matter where you place the bike in the loop.
When I used to do a lot of road bicycle riding, I found that if I leaned the bike down to about 45 degrees, on the edge of the circle the light would trigger. Maybe try that. 🤪

As others mentioned, some states have passed laws - and I actually carry a copy of the one for Virginia, since the police may not be aware and may not cut you slack

Some people sell big magnets that you strap to the bottom of your bike. I've never had one, don't know if they work.
