One of the reasons I went with v2h fairing is if it doesn’t work out I am not out a lot of money. But I love the look and quality of it and have to make it work LoL. Unfortunately I won’t be able to test ride for a few more weeks as the roads are a wintery mess. Homemade buffering kit and the tool bag trick. Windshield is at a perfect height (nose level). If it doesn’t work out I am going to cut it down.

On a side note that tool bag is that something you buy with the tool in or did you put it together yourself. This is the first bike I've owned that came with nothing apart from shock adjuster.
Tool bag is cheap in price and quality. 30$ from dealer. I think. No tools included. It just puts a dent in the lower air trying to fill in the void created by the windshield. Held on with Velcro straps.
The cool thing about that tool bag is that it will also do free body work for you on your front fender.
To the OP, sometimes buffeting can be solved with a different helmet. I usually run Shoei helmets, and bought a very cool carbon Bell helmet. Terrible buffeting on my bike, like my head was shaking so bad at 75 that I couldn't read signs on the highway. Went back to a Shoei RF1200, and all gone. Sometimes the shape of the fairing/shield and the shape of the helmet don't work well together.

Had that same tool bag in my wide glide for 8 years and the paint on that bike was as mint as the day I bought it new when i sold it last year. It was even on there when I did the snake river canyon!!!

Two totally different bikes and suspension setups. I'm not trying to hate on your toolbag. It will make contact though, I'm not guessing.

I ordered from them as well on the Feb 9th and it was dispatched today 23rd not impressed
A couple warm rains over the past week cleaned the roads. I was able to get my bike out of hibernation today to test the villain fairing out. I did take off the tool bag as recommended by 2v4. First test I did was put my arm across my chest to check for buffering from underneath and had none so tool bag was not needed. Ran speeds up to 80 on back roads with no buffering problems at all. This is with my shoei helmet on. Jumped on the highway ran 90 plus, no annoying buffering! Excellent wind protection for a small fairing. Also with my home made buffering set up it put the 14 inch screen at a great position for my vision.
